چکیده

To the Editor My original paper on the " Cortical Margining Capabilities of Fins 1 " has been made based on the data studied while I was working at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation as a research fellow. However, this article was submitted to two international journals by me and the co-author at the same time independently. I hereby retract the paper. 1. Jin BH, Kwon HD, Cho YE. Cortical Margining Capabilities of Fins Associated with Ventral Cervical Spine Instrumentation

Fins incorporated into the design of a dynamic cervical spine implant have been employed to enhance axial load- bearing ability, yet their true biomechanical advantages, if any, have not been defined. Therefore, the goal of this study was to assess the biomechanical and axial load-bearing contributions of the fin components of the DOC ventral cervical stabilization system. Eighteen fresh cadave...

Minimally invasive cervical spine foraminotomy and lateral mass screw placement.

STUDY DESIGN This technique article describes accomplishing multilevel posterior cervical decompression and lateral mass screw placement through a tubular retraction system. OBJECTIVE Multilevel foraminotomy and instrumented fusion using lateral mass screw fixation can be achieved through a minimally invasive technique using specialized retractors and intraoperative fluoroscopic imaging. SU...

Minimally invasive tubular access for posterior cervical foraminotomy with three-dimensional microscopic visualization and localization with anterior/posterior imaging.

BACKGROUND CONTEXT Posterior cervical foraminotomy allows decompression of the nerve root with preservation of motion. A previously described endoscopic technique utilizes minimally invasive muscle splitting with routine outpatient discharge. PURPOSE The approach allows a modified tubular retraction system to be used with three-dimensional visualization and anterior/posterior fluoroscopic ima...

Cervical facet dislocation: techniques for ventral reduction and stabilization.

OBJECT To demonstrate the safety and utility of one surgical approach, the authors reviewed their experience with the ventral surgical approach for decompression, reduction, and stabilization in 10 patients with either unilateral or bilateral cervical facet dislocation. METHODS Six patients presented with unilateral cervical facet dislocation and four patients with bilateral cervical facet di...

Altered alignment of the shoulder girdle and cervical spine in patients with insidious onset neck pain and whiplash-associated disorder.

Clinical theory suggests that altered alignment of the shoulder girdle has the potential to create or sustain symptomatic mechanical dysfunction in the cervical and thoracic spine. The alignment of the shoulder girdle is described by two clavicle rotations, i.e, elevation and retraction, and by three scapular rotations, i.e., upward rotation, internal rotation, and anterior tilt. Elevation and ...
